As Managing Director of Appt China, Joy is responsible for overseeing the office in China and all Appt China operations and services. 

Joy works closely with the team in the UK to win and deliver all international projects. Having lived and worked in the UK and now based in China, Joy is perfectly positioned to help clients who want to bridge the digital gap between the East and West. 

Joy graduated top of her class in China before coming to the UK to obtain a Master’s in Data Communication. She joined the Appt Team as a developer in 2014 and led Appt’s expansion into China in 2016. 

Since becoming Managing Director of Appt China, Joy has helped to deliver projects for clients of all sizes – from boutique high-end coffee shops to national student accommodation providers and government agencies. She is regularly invited to attend and speak at national events in China and, in doing so, has found herself in the company of Forbes 30 under 30 Entrepreneurs and tech giants such as Jack Ma, the Executive Chair of the Alibaba group and the First Vice Premier, Han Zheng. Joy is also Deputy President of the UK-Yunnan Alumni Association. 

When Joy is not keeping the China office going, you’ll find her winning wine-tasting competitions (she’s the 7th best in China) or snuggling up with a cup of tea and a good book.
